Privacy Policy

Last updated: EDIT ME — insert publish date

This Privacy Policy describes how Sukoon Support ("we", "us", "our"), a product of SukoonKey EDIT ME — legal entity name if any, collects, uses, and protects information when businesses ("Clients") and their website visitors ("Visitors") use our live chat support service.

1. Who this applies to

Sukoon Support is a business-to-business service. A Client signs up, embeds our chat widget on their own website, and their support agents reply to that website's Visitors through our dashboard. This policy covers both:

2. Information we collect

From Clients and agents: business name, agent names, login email addresses, and account/billing details.

From Visitors, when they start a chat: name, email address (used to resume a conversation later), messages sent in the chat, and any screenshots or images they choose to attach. We also store a randomly generated identifier in the Visitor's browser (via local storage) so they can return to their conversation.

3. How we use this information

We do not sell Visitor or Client data to third parties, and we do not use conversation content for advertising.

4. Who can see a conversation

A conversation is only visible to the Client business it belongs to — specifically the agents of that business, and SukoonKey's own platform administrators for account support and oversight purposes. Client businesses cannot see each other's data; this is enforced at the database level, not just in the interface.

5. Where data is stored

We use the following subprocessors to run the service:

Data may be processed or stored outside your country. By using Sukoon Support, Clients and Visitors consent to this transfer as necessary to provide the service.

6. Data retention

We retain conversation data for as long as a Client's account remains active, so their team can reference past conversations. If a Client account is deleted, associated conversations, messages, and agent records are permanently deleted along with it. Visitors may request deletion of their own conversation data by contacting the Client business directly, or us at the contact below.

7. Client responsibilities

Client businesses are responsible for how they use Visitor data collected through their widget — for example, complying with applicable consumer-protection or data-protection laws in the regions where their own visitors are located. Sukoon Support provides the infrastructure; each Client controls how their support team uses it.

8. Security

We use Row Level Security so that one Client's data is never accessible to another, industry-standard encryption in transit, and access controls for our own administrative team. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable, ongoing steps to protect data.

9. Children's privacy

Sukoon Support is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from children through the Visitor chat widget.

10. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you by contacting us below. Client businesses can also manage or delete their own account data directly from their dashboard or Super Admin panel.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
